Michael Kass

Michael Kass is a Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital specializing in emerging markets and international growth equities. He joined the Firm in 2007 and has 39 years of research experience. Previously, he was managing principal of Artemis Advisors, which he formed to acquire the Artemis Funds, a long-short equity strategy he co-founded. Earlier in his career, he was a senior managing director and portfolio manager at ING Furman Selz Asset Management. He also held roles at Lazard Frères and Bear Stearns. Michael graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University with a BA in Economics. He and his wife live in New York City and have three adult children. Raised in Columbus, Ohio, Michael remains a committed Buckeyes fan and enjoys The Rolling Stones, golf, and yoga.
