Brian Schmidt
Research Analyst
Brian Schmidt is a Research Analyst at Baron Capital specializing in emerging markets and international growth equities. He joined the Firm in 2025 and has 15 years of research experience. Previously, he was a Senior Analyst at Seafarer Capital Partners, where he focused on industrials, materials, and energy companies for emerging markets equity funds. Before that, he worked at Itaú Asset Management and Citi. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade at BlackRock, serving first as a Product Strategy Associate and later as an Equity Research Analyst on a global equity fund. Brian earned his BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a CFA charterholder.
