David Sobel
VP, Research Analyst
David Sobel is a Research Analyst at Baron Capital, where he focuses on industrials, specialty chemicals, distributors, and semiconductor companies. He joined the Firm in 2018 and has 8 years of research experience. Previously, he was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman. Earlier in his career, he was an energy engineer at Mondre Energy. David earned his MBA with honors from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He grew up in Connecticut, where he now lives with his wife and two children. Outside of work, David enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and playing tennis.
