Laird Bieger

Laird Bieger is a Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital specializing in U.S. small-cap growth equities. His areas of expertise include consumer discretionary (gaming, lodging, retail, and restaurants), financials, consumer staples, real estate, information technology, and industrials. He joined the Firm in 2000 as a Research Analyst and has 29 years of research experience. Prior to that, Laird was a short-selling Research Analyst at Water Street Capital, a long/short hedge fund. In between college and business school, he held various roles at Ford Motor Company. Laird earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and holds a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University. Originally from Miami, Florida, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
