Randolph Gwirtzman
Randy Gwirtzman is a Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital specializing in U.S. small-cap growth equities. His areas of expertise include health care, technology, business services, and industrials (automotive, alternative energy, and aerospace and defense). He joined the Firm in 2002 as a Research Analyst and has 29 years of research experience. Previously, he was a research analyst at Tyndall Partners, a high yield and corporate bond analyst at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and a long/short and risk arbitrage analyst at various ING Furman Selz hedge funds. Earlier in his career, he spent five years as a bankruptcy litigation attorney at Salomon Green & Ostrow. Randy earned his MBA from Columbia Business School, his JD cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was the managing editor of the Cardozo Law Review, and his BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA charterholder. Randy enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with his family.
